Creme Caramel, Avsolut Style


Who doesn like the classic dessert, Creme Caramel? Well maybe there's a lot. cuz they not only like em, but LOVE em! hihi

I learned this particular recipe from my bro, he's a creme caramel addict. he goes to CCA (creme caramel anon) lol jk~ nways, i loooove his version of it! here we go!

velvety creme part:
1 can of evaporated milk
1/2 can of water
1/2 can of milk
4 med eggs or 5 small ones
scrapes of vanilla beans
1/4 c sugar (depends how you want the sweetness level to be)

sweet caramel part:
3/4 c sugar
1/4 c water

Caramel
1) Heat the sugar and water in a non-stick pan (like most ppl, i use teflon!)
2) Dunt be tempted to stir~ hihi let em boil and change into caramel color.
3) Pour into plastic cups.

Creme
1) Break the eggs into a mixing bowl. Whisk em till they're near fluffy. ;')
2) Add the evap milk, water and milk all together. Mix well.
3) Then mix together the vanilla beans and sugar in the egg mixture.
4) I usually heat the mixture in a pot, to dissolve the sugar. *Be careful not to boil!
5) If your mixture is lumpy, its ok, you can seive it ;')
6) Then you can pour the creme mixture into each individual plastic cup, filled w caramel previously.
7) Pop em in a steamer, around 12-15mins, it'll be cooked! * Do not over cook, as they will not come out as velvety~
8) Let cool and chill in the fridge til its tyme to eat! ;'D
